My mum used to have one of these years ago, and she used it to make cheap cuts of meat really tender, as well as being able to cook a meal for 5 in one pot.
The faster cooking also helps to preserve the nutrients and vitamins in the food.
You can make a casserole or stew-type meal in about 40 minutes - an hour.

Has anyone got one? I'm planning on buying one to try to make healthy and delicious stews, casseroles etc.

I swear by my slow cooker, they sell them about a £10 in asda, I put in meat chopped into pieces with either gravy or a cooking sauce and i leave it on all day on low, and when i come home its ready to eat, its the only way i can eat meat......soft and moist so it is really good........
