Question about scars

Hi i had my op in march and my scars are still thic and red i used bio oil twice a day any idea when these will start to fade????

Did you have key hole or open. It all really depends on your bodies healing ability. How do you normally heal say if you cut yrself, get a graze or a spot. remember that these wounds are not surface cuts and do take longer to heal and although will fde in time there will always be a mark of some kind. 3 months is still early days and i would just carry on with the bio oil.

Have you tried silicone gel sheets? I have some pretty major scars on my arm from a car crash and have heard they work well. Because of how my scars are it was too hard to use them!!! There is also a silicone gel in a tube that you can just put directly on the scar.

I had keyhole sugery 29th Oct and some of my scars have faded completely. I have 5 small scars, 2 of which are still red and raised but the other three are pale and barely defined. The 2 that are raised have faded a bit so I imagine they two will be pale in the future. Small price to pay I think!

it took 3-6 months for my scars to fade with both my ops, a little longer for the t/tuck scar. they will fade to thin white lines eventually.
