Me, I went with them. I also responded to your other posts re Dolan Park. Slightly different approach and pricing. When you initially ring them you will speak to someone who has had surgery (and lost 15 stone). You then have initial consult with specialist nurse, then surgeon. Not sure where they operate but it's all the same surgeons doing bits for all the providers. I would puck surgeon first tbh and then shop around for best deal esp considering aftercare

Incidentally specialist nurse has also had bariatric surgery, all people in patient facing roles have , apart from surgeons

What I mean re surgeons, my surgeon works for Ramsey in Gloucester, for Hospital Group in Cardiff, for someone else in Dublin. Look for someone who has set up/ is leading light in NHS bariatric services so you can be sure they have relevant experience

I have no idea what to do. I could either put up with THG and have it at dolan park 11th april. but hearing lots of negative about their aftercare.
I've been looking at the bariatric group and ramsay health care.
All the price I can afford. Confused !!!

Ramsay healthcare offer 3 years adjustments and fills with 6 months surgical cover
BUT
THG offer 2 years fills ans 2 years surgical cover !!???

With THG you may find you pay extra for the 2 years surgical cover, and I never really worked out what you were actually paying for. The 3 years fills that Ramsey offer is a good deal. BUT all aftercare needs to be somewhere that's convenient for you, you can't keep shlepping across country for a tweaky band fill. I take it you are after a band? Take advantage of the free consultation s and shop around.....

So if the band slips, erosion etc after the 6 months offered with the other company's I would have to pay to have it sorted whereas with thg it would be free.
I may stick with thg not sure yet will speak to the lady tomorrow and see what happens.
Yes I am having a band, with thg it would be fills in london which is not far from me x

I saw Mr Super at THG, highly recommended and leads the bariatric clinic at the QE in Birmingham
