Ok - so I have tried to eat today and nothing...my gob / head just is not having it. No appetite = not going to happen (regurgiate or can't swallow). So Hubby (in rare episode of being supportive) went to our local farmers market (we are very rural) and brought home fresh local Cauli, broccoli & carrots, pots & home-made by farmers wife fresh prime steak pie. Yummy!! Fired up the range, cooked it all up and dished myself about a half of what hubby had (prob about a tea-plate) and while I could not exactly salivate - my god I fancied it!
Got about a third down before I got the signal to stop. I wanted to eat it all, believe me, it smelt good, looked great and I wanted it but my pouch said "that's enought thanks" and I knew from previous experience that even another forkfull and I would have had the sharp pains.
That's that then.....I can officially be confident that my pouch is working.......
So that's five weeks post op and I get it - what is the average time-span for you folks beit banders or bypassers?
