Maz! what a fantastic idea!
I still go to the supermarket and buy food that I neither want to or CAN eat.
I throw so much stuff out for the birds and give so much to my dog that it is unreal.
My man never overeats and is a lover of fast foods so the things I buy don't interest him.
I am going to sort myself out a saving up tin right now!
Whay didn't I think of that! Thank you!

great idea unfortunatley my husband buys the food in our house so his wallet is full ,mmm i think he will have to take me clothes shopping yipee xxxxxxxxx

i couldnt think of a better idea!!!!! i wish i could do the same, but my husband is eating me out of house and home lol

lol liggie and shannon dont feed him

then he will turn into a hungry monster! he is like a big kid if he has to get his own food.... i do notice now how much crap he actually eats since my op, trouble is he can eat and eat and still looks slim, i guess all the training in the army is what helps him stay fit, and if i dont eat everything off of my plate (which is often) he ends up eating that up as well!!! the other day i ended up throwing out the rest of my food off of my plate out of spite...lol i am so childish:rolleyes:

Ah so there is a silver lining in hubby leaving me! My first food shop (my good old mum did it!) Was less than £6 although I still had milk to buy. I had stocked up on all the dog food etc before hand and didn't need household stuff.

But still a cheep feed Change from a tennor!

To be fair it was me to spent the money on food anyway, secret eating and stashes...

lol,, you lot are such a tonic,,,, husband has actually lost nearly 2 stone since we started this journey mind he did need to , so we are both becoming slimmer and healthier yipee

This is what I'm doing! Not just food, but alcohol as well (used to put away a fair bit of wine and cider). Have been recording my spending on alcohol over the past few months and am very excited how many new clothes I'll be able to buy soon *lol*

I'm in four weeks tomorrow. Sounds like ages away but no time at all *lol*

Start my diet on Weds but trying to slide myself into it gently atm. And have a lot of fun things to look forward to in next few weeks - seeing friends, birthdays, Manc Pride and a couple of theatre trips so hopefully I won't feel too miserable ;)

I have hit a PROBLEM with the idea of putting my unspent money aside.
I don't use cash! I never have any cash on me and have always used my debit card to pay for my groceries. So where I used to perhaps spend £40 twice a week on rubbish (this includes dog food and treats for him, toiletries and household items, not all food lol, and now I only spend say £10 perhaps...... how shall I make sure i don't over or under compensate myself.
Any ideas anybody?
