Sick

Afternoon folks

Probably a really stupid and quite gross question, but since my bypass i havnt been able to be sick properly. I used to be a major chunderer, but now (sorry to be revolting) i now just throw up horrible spit and foam with bits of food in it , can you not throw up properly since bypass and do you know why ?

hi bellsie no thats it now only been sick twice but both times it was a foam party.

yeah same here. Mine is like foam with bits of food in, not like normal vomit.

Hi I think not sure when the food gets stuck and you need to remove it Well any saliva you produce wont go down properly and rests on the food so the foamy stuff I think is the saliva

i think it has more to do with the lansoprosol and what thet does to the gastric juices.

I *think* it's because the gastric acids are in the distal stomach?

your stomachs smaller it cant hold the same anount so its only small amounts come back up, the saliva is your bodys way of aiding the s,iding down of food or flinging it back up, you will get used ot it, and the sickie will stop
