Today it is a week since I had my op . . .can't believe a week has gone by already to be honest . . .this time last week we were driving up to the hospital.

Thursdays are also my own personal weigh in day, and this week since surgery I've lost 10lbs.

OMG, 10lbs, I had to get on the scales 3 times to check it and each time it came out to that. I had lost 17lbs on the pre op diet so on day 22 I've lost a total of 27 lbs.

Its hard to believe tho, that in the past week I've seen the 22 stones come and almost go . . .I can't believe nearly 2 stone has gone . . .I feel it already in doing physical things, a top I put on yesterday I could feel how much looser it was. My arms hang down closer to my side already . . .lots of NSV that I wasn't really expecting to see so early.

I'm still on clearer liquids but feeling great :D, feeling excited, but feeling positive that spending £7,500 was the best money I'm going to spend. :D:D

Thank you to all the support you've given to me since I joined, its been greatly appreciated!

wooooohoooooooo :)

Well done x

Well done Kat. This time last week you were so scared, and look how happy you are now.
Another inspiration... x

CONGRATULATIONS! :) That is wonderful news...

I've just updated my stats on here and also just noticed that this weight I've lost has taken me under the 50 BMI. If I could have lost that before I had surgery I would have saved myself the extra £500 lol

Wow Kat that's amazing I can see you cart wheeling round the house in no time x x

Well done, keep up the good work and the positive attitude xxxx

Good going Kat .. yehhhhh!!!!! So very pleased for you. What does your son think? I bet he is proud of his mum! Tracey xxx

He is yes and was excited when I told him LOL

and I've actually managed 100ml of soup today . . .a first since monday (thank god for heinz mulligatawny lol)

Congrats Kitty Kat! Your enthusiasm is catchy! I had my band surgery two days before yours and am also seeing great results post-surgery, but I completely sucked at the pre-op diet  (unlike you, very well done!). I sure am feeling hungry, though. My band has zero mL and have to wait 2 months till the first fill. How do you manage the hunger? Are you able to ingest more than 100mL at a time? I certainly can, don't feel remotely satiated till 200mL or more. My doctor stressed the consistency of what I take in these first two months, but he didn't tell me I shouldn't have more than 100mL. However, other banders have told me they didn't take in more than 100mL their first month (before first fill).

Well done kat, ur doing amazing you should b very proud of yourself, carry on like this and you will be runnin marathons in lycra this time nxt year : D congrats charlie xx

well done, looks like this is going to work exceptionally well for you! Keep up the hard work :)

wow well done kat your doing great xxx

I don't feel hungry, not in the slightest. I had 100mls of soup today, its bloated me beyond belief and made me feel queasy. So Im going back on clear liquids again. I am able to drink a cup of tea, I am able to manage 150mls of OJ or apple juice, but if I have NAS squash, I can't drink more than 50mls at a time, if I attempt Ribena, it makes me feel bloated. My provider said to start off with 100 mls at a time building up to 200mls during this 2 week liquid stage, and that the consistency should be able to go up a straw with ease, but not to drink through a straw as it adds gas to the stomach.

So, I will be giving the soup a miss tomorrow, and stick back to the juices etc I don't have any liquid in my band as my provider doesn't do this and it was confirmed by the surgeon when he visited me the next morning, but I don't feel hungry in the slightest, even if I only have 50ml I feel full.

Thanks everyone :) hoping it will continue this way, but also hoping that I can work out why apple juice is alright, but NAS squash bloats me. LOL why I can have OJ or tea, but coffee bloats me and makes me feel queasy, as does Ribena. . . .very strange feeling. . . .and I've paid the price for having 100ml of soup today, feel so full . . . :(
