stones

This is just how I felt. The first time, I really thought I was having a heart attack. It literally took my breath away and I couldn't move. I had to deep breathe, very slowly until the pain subsided. Does that sound familiar to you? Not sure if I've got them, or not.
Thanks:confused::confused::confused:

Yeah the first night it happened I sat out on my garden bench for hours just breathing slowly. Looking back I was really bad...only I was home with my sister and not my parents I probably would have called an ambulance! The next day my lips were blue and I was white as a sheet...really took a lot out of me physically and mentally.

Felt like a huge elastic band getting tighter and tighter under my boobs...complete agony.

Hi, EmmaLouise,
When you talk about the elastic band, did the feeling go right the way across? Was is like your diaphragm (sp?) going into spasm?
Thanks

I had Gallstones last year, wasnt sure what it was at first it was such incredible pain, i would feel it first just to the right at the lower part of my ribs and it would gradually make its way round to my back, i would be in a hell of a lot of pain for a good 4 hours until i would eventually be sick and it would then start to calm down a bit, until i would be sick again then i would fall asleep. I would be so violently sick that blood blistered popped all over my face!!

Thankfully, i had my gall bladder removed in November last year. The operations fine, its done key hole and my scars have now faddedd.

However, a very unhelpful doctor did tell me (before i knew what the pain was) that i was experiencing indegestion (sp?) and i should stop complaining and take some antacids. Thankfully i went for a second opinion.

I had horrific pain from my gallstones and when I had my bypass they took the gallbladder awau and it was full of gravel like stones...I suffered a year had to take pethidine for pain in and out of hospital...would have done 20 labours than one pain episode...
Now week 15 since opp and feel amazing..weight loss is good but to be pain free is amazing!..hope they take it out for you...
