Stretch Marks???

BIG KIM

I am a *NEW* Man!
Anyone know how to make stretch marks fade?? is that bio oil any cop??

Oh boy, My stretch marks a like a road map on my belly at the moment. All the lotions and potions in the world havent made any difference at all, including Bio oil... sorry.

Think we are stuck with them Kim
just checked out your pics well done so far mate...... got any profile pics of you looking less glum lol

I've read that you can get them reduced/removed with laser treatment but I have no idea how much it costs. People used to have them sanded ( ouch!!)
Bio oil does make your skin feel nice though
x

Yes, there are products in the Palmers range which you can buy online or in Superdrug and Boots. I think there is one called Tummy Butter, one for stretch marks, and also one for skin that is loose due to weight loss and Palmers is supposed to tighten it up. I think though that these products should be used from the very start of a weight loss process as they can't tighten skin that has been markedly marked or loosened due to weight loss. Try them - at the worst they will make your stomach smell rather delicious! :8855:

Lol, I feel I cant smile, as I'm not keen on my picture taken. I feel fake just smiling. :)

Think you are stuck with them but they will fade and go a silvery colour after a while, dont worry about them though x

Nothing ever worked for me when I was pregnant, unfortunately!

I've since learned that all these lotions and potions have very minimal effect, if any at all. It's all down to the type of skin we have and how much elasticity (collagen) it contains. Obviously the older we get, the less stretchy it becomes so the more stretch marks we're liable to get!

They do fade over time though to leave silvery marks, a bit like a snail trail :8855:

strange as i use bio oil and mine seemed to have lost a lot of the redness that they had and seem to have faded down a little so i am hoping if i continue to use it it may fade a bit more but either way it makes my skin nice and soft and also hydrated again

I find the bio oil stains so dont really use it, cocoa butter is suppost to be good i got a tube after I had one of my kids from the hospital (damn where did i put it)

Kim be proud of your stretch marks, they show how well you are doing in your weight loss journey!

Plus buy 'remedy oil' from home bargains and the like, apparently its the same just a damn site cheaper...

And Lisa mine are like silver snail trails, my only hope is if i am super successful and have a bmi of 26 then my pct will do something about my tum and i lose my stretch marks... Not sure if i'll be sad to see them go, they are what makes me what i am to be honest... xx

ps, try your orgasm face Kim, see if its any better than the grinch one? xx

Hi ya Kim

My friend used Bio Oil after her baby and swears by it.

I had so many after my 1st child it wouldn't have been possible to distinguish my stomach from a split tomato!

They do fade in time, but anythings worth a try.

Good luck x

Time heals all so they say. They will fade in time. I know that is not what you want to hear but trust me before you know it they will be almost invisible shiny silver lines.

Bio Oil has never worked for me or my mum either. I have noticed now that I'm losing weight though my stretch marks are more visible.

ive used bio oil for ages pre bypass and have a few faint silvery lines. cant even see my scars unless you get a magnifying glass out. i put mine on as i get out of the shower on slightly damp skin then put my bath robe on for 1/2 hr whilst it soaks in or better still walk round naked.
i suppose it varies from person to person but i personally love it.

Not sure if it's true, but I read that you are more likely to get a good result from bio oil etc if you are darker complexioned. I'm a red head with milky skin and my stretch marks look like a map of the world! I'm used to them now though and am resigned to the fact that I may be able to make them softer, but never get rid of them
 xx
