sugar-free, fat-free trifle sponge

I'v just made my sugar and fat free trifle sponge.

1 egg
4 tablespoons granulated Splenda
1 tablespoon Marvel
4 tablespoons self-raising flour

Whisk together 1 egg and 4 tablespoons Splenda with an electric whisk unti white and fluffy.
Sieve together the flour and Marvel and fold into the egg mixture with a metal spoon.
Spoon into a greased cake tin and bake at 140 degrees for about 20 minutes.
It looks quite pale as Splenda doesn't brown but the taste and texture is perfect.
Success....fat free...yippeeeee!
 
Excellent! I shall try this today. I was just thinking that I could probably risk a little adapted trifle - splenda in the cream, sugar-free jelly and custard, fruit - if I stopped eating before I hit the cake. This is good news :)
 
Nice one Grace :D I think I will try it for new year as Ive got all the ingredients for out traditional trifle now....I wont have any but I can try a "good girl" trifle at new year :D XX
