who you have told

How many of you have had people make remarks about you going for the surgery and how did you cope. My oldest friend has made me feel guilty for having op.

hi, ive told my wife and her side of the family that i want to have gastric surjury and they are all behind me has i suffer each day with my weight, it sounds like your oldest friend is not a true friend, as if they were a true friend they would be pleased for you.

i have still to get funding but im working on that good luck with what ever you go for and its what you want in life not what your oldest friend wants.

You will never be able to please everyone all the time so focus only on those that will support you and forget about the ones that question your decision. No one walks a mile in your shoes but you so do what you feel is best for you. I have shared with family members only that I am having surgery and luckily they are all very supportive. All the best to you!!

just letting you know im neally at the finish line hopefully awaiting my gastric bypass now hopefully in next 12 weeks.

I've told very few people, because I don't want people gossiping about me.

I've told four of my closest friends (two couples who we see all the time), but have several others I may never tell.

As for family, I've only told my mum, brother, and his wife.

My partner has been very supportive, bless him, but he worries terribly about me which I feel bad about. It's fortunate I'm recovering so well.

I feel it's nobody's business, and people simply don't understand WLS - so I'm not telling anyone. Especially work.

I'm nearly 15 weeks post surgery now and I've still only told my husband. So keeping your counsel and privacy can work.

Then again, relatively few people have commented on my weight loss, even though I'm over half way to goal!

I tell anyone who will listen. But I inspired my tesco delivery driver a year ago and there's still only me and his wife knows lol

Walk every day how thin down?

Determined to start moving, and choose to walk as weight loss. But how thin it could not walk away? First of all, I hope you're not wearing slippers, eat dinner as you walk to the park every day movement. Or after work standing on high heels, take the long way home is called walking. You have to let the heartbeat of at least 130 per minute, the next, but at least three times per week, at least 30 minutes each exercise, such a "walking" campaign will be effective.

I am also one of those who told, and is still telling, everyone... Even strangers. Yes I had a few people say I shouldn't do it. Two of them had surgery and stretched their pouch so were worried about me, and one lady said I was doing fine on my own, why did I need surgery? But the great majority of people are really supportive.

I'm telling no one apart from my partner I guess he has to know so he can wait on me I work from home so have no work mates to meet and have no friends.

Its personal to you isn't..I'm a very open person and don't mind

I told my mum dad, my in laws and my two best friends and thats it. I think they are the only ones that need to know. Scared of negativity. There are people in my life who can say hurtful things under the veil of it being 'their opinion' I made this decision for me no one else! x
