I'm still tired after 6.5 months but am now doing a full day and commute but come the weekend I am a sleeping beauty!
The first couple of months were really hard for me and I was totally wiped out. I couldn't handle being holed up in London so I went and slept in the sun in Mallorca with my mum for a few days which really broke it up!
I know it's hard but if you can try and give yourself a little thing to do each day to get out the house and moving e.g walk to a local coffee shop and get a coffee (not that you'll be able to drink much!), go to the news agents and pick up a newspaper, go for a walk around the block, feed the ducks at the local pond etc... these little bits of movement will help with regaining energy and will give you a sense of purpose even if you only manage 20 minutes out and about.
As soon as you are on puree foods start nailing the protein - the more protein you eat the less your muscles will waste away and the more strength you'll have. Even though I get around 90 grams of protein a day I've lost muscle and it's a real pain to get back once it's gone! I'm a weakling at the gym...
I'd also say, supplements are key and as soon as you're allowed to take capsules/tablets make sure you get a really good quality multi vitamin pill and if you want to beef it up a bit throw in some Ferroglobin B12 capsules - these are really high in B12 and Iron and with the help of one of these daily I am no longer anaemic and have avoided having to have B12 injections to top me up. You can get them at Boots.
Hope you feel a little more energetic soon but for now listen to your body and sleep, it's good weather for hibernating and OMG that new TV channel ITV Be is wonderful for mindless zoning out! X
