I fell to pieces the day before- even though I knew it was what I wanted. It's pre-op nerves. Good Luck- ses you on the smaller side! X

I was really nervous on the day of my op, even standing in theatre a little voice was saying 'you don't need this, you can do this on your own' but I'd fought a losing battle all my life with weight and I needed help. I went to sleep, highly skilled professionals did their job, I woke up and my weight is history. A year and a half later and almost 13 stone lighter my life is nothing like it was. I feel alive, awake, alert, lively, energetic and most of all happy.

You are giving your children more years and happy times with their wonderful mum, you will be able to do so much more because of your bravery today.

Jozefina, relax and don't worry your in excellent hands - he's such a nice guy - and once it's all done he doesn't forget you, he came and saw me after the op and the following day in the morning and in the evening and made sure I had his mobile number before he left.
