waiting list

hiya
was just reading that someones put that the waiting list for st richards is closed. does anyone know what this means? and if it effects people like me who have seen surgeon and got the go ahead?

It was probably my post that you read. I have been told both by St Richards and my local PCT that the list is closed.
When the PCT agreed my funding they wrote to my GP and gave me a choice of hospitals to go to. St. Richards, although on the list of 6 other hospitals, was crossed out and marked list temporarily closed.
When I phoned St. Richards they said would reopen for new cases in 8 weeks but PCT said it was not St Richards choice when to reopen the list but the PCT's.
Anyway, as St Richards is my local hospsital I have decided to wait until they reopen their list.
So I am being put on the list, when they eventually reopen.
I am sure it will not affect anyway who has already been referred or seen so don't worry. I am sure you will be fine and hopefully seen soon.:wave_cry:
