Its he tender touch when i saw him post op i said im sure you just stabbed me 5 times and meddled with my brain as its been so easy. He laughed and said "damb my secrets out"

reading this post made me wonder...would it not be interesting if this actually did happen? would there be any weightloss...like taking a placebo medication...can the brain be tricked into thinking the body had had surgery???

Did you hear about the woman who has lost 4 stone by being hypnotised into thinking she has had a band fitted? She says she can even 'remember' being wheeled to the operating theatre. She feels restriction when she eats. I bet she doesn't have wind pain tho! Zxx

Can i ask why you have had 2 bands?

my 1st band lasted me 3.5 years, i must state what happened to me is RARE and please dont be put off by whats happened to me.

it was fine until 3.5 years but the fill tube had came off from the band end and also my band had a twist/fracture in it so i was de and rebanded aug last year and ive been fine and the new band is working brilliantly.
i just seen it as part of my wls experince with all the ups and downs it can bring.

i have no regrets and dont have a problem with being rebanded.

i hope that helps explain a little more about my journey.
