How long before exercise

Hi all. I'm quite knew here - just finding my way around...
I have a few questions rolling around in my head, so thought I'd start with this - How long after surgery before you're up and walking. I don't mean just up and about, I mean out for a walk. I usually do a 6 mile walk on a Wednesday morning and wondered if I'll be up to it next week - my op is Saturday.
Thanks all

Walking is the best exercise to start with.
But I honestly don't think you will be able to do 6 miles straight off.
Start off by doing short walks.
Just to the end of the garden might leave you shattered for the first week.
Don't over do it and if anything even thinks about hurting STOP.

As I said in a different post. You wouldn't go for a 10 mile hike with a broken leg.
You will be having major surgery. Let your body heal.
What's 6 weeks compared to the rest of your life.
Good luck

Crikey you've no chance unless you want to delay your recovery, you're having an operation!

it took me a week before I was back walking to my local shop, slowly!
