Mr Menon and the 'team' had the meeting about my case yesterday. I was really worried that for some reason they would decide i wasn't a good candidate ect, well i got a call from the hospital today saying that Mr Menon was going to go ahead and apply for funding for me Im guessing this means they decided i can have the op and are going to go ahead?

I'd say that's exactly what that means....

If they are applying for funding, then they are happy to do the surgery.

What trust do you come under Rach? How long did it take before you heard if you had the funding or not.

I'm under warwickshire PCT, and it took about three weeks for the letter to come through.

In theory it should take 26-ish weeks between funding approval and surgery but I was told that they are struggling to get bariatrics surgery done.
