    POSE Surgery

Just curious, where are you now- not in the USA? Recovery from the procedure is easy and quick. You have to follow some steps, such as liquids, soft foods etc. in order to let your anchor spots heal, but you won't even feel where they are as they cause no pain or even a funny feeling. The...

Band and hiatal hernia repair together

I had Hiatal Hernia repair and POSE during the same procedure last February. I had to eat liquids, then pureed foods for a while anyway because of the POSE, but have not had a single problem with the hernia repair. It's great not to have heartburn any longer!

Hi Shax, Sounds like you are doing well since your procedure! I do exercise each morning - usually a 45 minute walk with a few jogs thrown in to up the heart rate. An Eggcream is a type of smoothie I have for breakfast each morning and it keeps me full for 5 to 6 hours. Everyone has their...

    B12 B12 B12.....over due :-(

I give myself a B-12 injection every Wednesday. Sometimes it hurts, other times it doesn't. I've come to figure out that the pain is directly related to the angle at which the needle is inserted. Straight on hurts the worst, 45 degree angle is barely felt.

Hi Ksinger, Congratulations on getting it scheduled. By the way, there is a Pose thread here, you might take a look at it. Lots of information there.

    POSE Surgery

I had to go to the hospital for pre-op testing (blood, urine etc.)and one more time for an endoscopy a couple of days before the procedure. Not everyone has to go for the endoscopy, but I was having a hiatal hernia repair along with the Pose, so that all depends on your doctor's orders. After...

    POSE Surgery

I have lost 23 pounds since my Pose - I have more to lose, but am satisfied with the results so far. Especially since it was incision-less! Have you seen information about the laparoscopic sleeve type procedure - Laparoscopic Gastric Plication by Texas Laparoscopic Consultants. That looks...

Just a note to those who have posted wondering about Von. She is doing well and has lost over 20 pounds! She can't post here anymore, but I talk to her sometimes on another forum. She hopes everyone is doing well.

    Atkins in Post op land!

I have been low carbing also, still on Induction. Most days I have less than 10 carbs plus I drink 64 ounces water. It seems like the more water I drink the faster the scales move down! Kara is coconut milk and is quite tasty. I use a lot of almond milk, unsweetened, mainly the...

    POSE Surgery

Hi Hopefour, Yep, my surgeon and his partner are switching hospitals. The hospital they were at is terrible (that's where I had mine done). They are now changing to the best hospital system in this area with three highly rated facilities: Lee Memorial, Cape Coral, and Gulfcoast. They...

    POSE Surgery

Hi Hopefour, I am in Fort Myers, Florida and had the Pose on February 25 and have lost 18 pounds. My surgeon is wonderful, takes all the time for me that I need and never rushes me out. I had some issues initially but it turned out they were from another surgery I had the same month. But...
