So indoors on my own because too fat and ashamed to go to a boxing night party. I insisted other half went as do not wanna drag him into my misery! I feel so sad at the life I'm missing out on. Hopefully next Xmas will be different x
Sorry for bringing down the festive mood :0(
I have my 2nd appointment with bariatric team on Fri so hopefully get through the process soon xxx

That's a bit sad. I never let me weight stop me going out. Hope you feel better soon.

Such a shame you feel like this. I realised a long time ago that I don't give a Toss what anyone else thinks of my size! The only person you need to worry about is yourself and seeing your friends and family should make you feel good which makes you look good! Don't let it stop you enjoying your life. It's passing you bye Hun. Good luck. X

Understand what your saying and how you feel. But have found its never as bad as we think its going to be at the party once your there. Hopefully both of us will be happier thinner and more confidant next Christmas :)

Never be ashamed of who you are..............

I wish I had the confidence to not care. It's also about not feeling nice in frumpy clothes. Thank you for responses x

I understand how you feel. And worse is going to the party and still feeling left out. It is very different for me post op - I have so much more confidence despite still being very large. You will get there!

I am another one who never let it worry me, I had fun regardless!!
Next year it will be different for you!!
Good luck.

Sorry to hear that - but glad to hear you have a second bariatric appointment tomorrow. Onwards and upwards hopefully :D x

Hope the appointment went ok.

I only go to things for my son's sake - if it was just for me I wouldn't go so totally sympathise x

I would like to suggest that you invest in a nice dress which will see you through the party season and will boost your confidence. A wrap over dress tends to be the best for a curvy lady.
Go for a 3/4 sleeve as the sleeve finishes at the smallest part of your body - under the bust - where the wrap happens and creates an illusion of a smaller waist. Also something below the knee so it shows the slimmest part of the leg. The v neckline draws the eye down to your small waist and elongates the neck making a chin disappear.
Loads of places sell wrap dresses, marks and spencer do a good range. If your stuck for your size check eBay. You can buy upto a size 30 on there (sorry I do not know what your clothes size is!). Invest in a good bra which lifts and supports and some good control knickers which come to under the bust line.
It may seem excessive but I assure you this will knock at least a dress size off your look and you will get so many compliments!!!! Show off your assets with a bit of cleavage. Your only young!!!!!! Xxxx

im the same, hate having to go out and everyone stands and looks at you well thats what its like for me anyway, i feel in the way, i can have a laugh with my close friends but when it comes to people i dont know i get all scared about what there talking about

i used to be the same :) i tried to show i didn't care but i did so much :( funny thing is last year i was literally a month post op so couldn't go out and enjoy myself now this year i have had my gallbladder removed week before christmas and couple of complications so can't enjoy either but i will be next year believe you me :) take care and good luck with everything xx
