10 days post op and still bad wind pain

Hi

I had my bypass 10 days ago and I thought my wind pain had subsided but today it's back with vengeance!

It is always on my left side and comes and goes, it hurts most around one of left incision sites. I think it is defo wind because I can sometimes feel it bubble but tramadol doesn't touch it.

Anyone know how long wind pain can last and if I can do anything for it? I'm passing wind and going the loo fine and am already taking peppermint oil tablets and tea.

See what your chemist has for trapped wind. I used to take something but can't for the life of me remember what it was called. All sounds about normal though.

might be wind but it might just be your healing process we're all different in the same sort of way

Hi. I had wind pain in left hand side, and especially up in shoulder for over 3 weeks post surgery (gastric band). My after care nurse said to have peppermint tea 30 minutes before eating and to use Deflatine tablets which I did. Did the trick but it can be a slow process and it is painful! Be assured it does of one and go and will just go one day and not come back! Tracey xxx
