8 Days Post Op and I'm Struggling

All was fine up till yesterday evening but since then my stomach will not stop growling! It's driving me absolutely bonkers.

I'm still on liquids until Sunday - Is it possible that i'm hungry? I'm finding myself continuously drinking to try to get rid of it

Same here my tummy is grumbling it is so tempting to eat but we have to be strong not long now.

Mine was like that too at your stage. Some people find it never really goes but mine stopped being so growly after about 2 weeks. I think it co-incided with moving onto sloppies.

It's very weird, kinda makes you wonder whether you've had anything done at all. I feel like phoning my surgeon and checking I'm on puree's next... Yum yum lol

I think a growling tummy is something bypassers have to get used to unfortunately. It can come as a bit of a surprise at first.

Hang in there hun, it wont be hunger that you are feeling at this early stage. Just your tummy trying to exert its authority! Just remind it that you are in charge x

My daughter will only cuddle me if i have a cusion on my tummy because its so loud lol mine has calmed a little as iv gone on but when its that way out im not the only one who it drives mad, i used to snore in bed now i gurggle lol

I had the sleeve but mine does the same. I find fruit juice helps but it has not gone completly. I am just over 3 weeks post op and having some selected soft foods. Did the doctors give you antacids?

Awww lol , i must admit mine is pretty loud compared to before... Feeling better about it now i know it's normal

Hi Bryan, Yes Homerton prescribed me 2 Lanzaprole (sp) a day to take.... Not sure how long for though - did they tell you ?

Mine can still be awful, the police were in work the other day interviewing a young person i work with and were so distracted by the growling my stomach was making i was mortified!

I hope it improves for you Katastrophe! If it's any consolation I think banders have it also..at the moment I sound like a cross between a faulty garbage disposal and a toad on valium.
It's going to get better..early days and all that!

I am now 5 wks post op and am pretty much on a norm solid diet now, i get the grumbles it is deffo not hunger and happens when i drink as well u can actually allmost hear it taking its journey.
things will be asier as time goes by i feel each week things improve slightly.

My tummy grumbled so loud for the first 4 weeks u could actually hear it from the other side of the room, now i am 6 weeks i have not had that prob any more xx
