As so many of you were so helpful earlier this week

Well I had the most wonderful surprise on Wednesday evening when my lovely mum walled into my house! She lives in London and I've not seen her since Christmas because ages been on a 2.5 month cruise. I sobbed with relief, you're never too old for a cuddle from mum, are you?!

Still felt awful so saw a GP yesterday who was very thorough bit still stumped. However she's sending me for a CT brain but also treating me for vertigo and wow what a difference already. I'm not 100% but feeling better already for not feeling as sick. Fingers crossed I'm on the way to recovery....

Thanks so much for your advice and good wishes xx

hi Dell,
sounds like you have been through allot, please keep us all posted on how you are doing and what the result of the CT scans are when you recieve them..and you are right! you are never too old for a cuddle from mom x

Dell, amongst other things... I'm under a specialist for my balance... he is an ENT Consultant and I started with terrible vertigo after an inner ear infection wouldn't clear... I now misjudge distances with my footing and often feel as though I'm walking on a slope... hence I steady myself with a walking aid when required.

I had a CT scan too and was given betahistine and water tablets to relieve the pressure in my ears... I've since been diagnosed with a balance disorder and have days of turmoil when I feel as though I am living on a boat... hope they can get things under control for you.

Good luck, love as always xxx

Glad something is helping, my s-i-l had horrid vertigo attacks a few years back, but hasn't had one for a long time now so hopefully yours may disappear too.

Aw Dell, glad you got to see your mum and a had cuddle - I would give anything to be able to give my mum one last hug

Im glad your gp has prescribed something thats helping. I had an inner ear infection in my late teens which took many weeks to recover from - vertigo is not nice at all.

Take care x
