Hey there,

A friend of mine gave me a link to this place as I have been referred for WLS.

I was referred in Early Nov 2010 and saw the specialist at Kings Dec12th and he told me that he wouldn't do the banding like my psychiatrist wanted but he would do a bypass. Now I am waiting.

I'm not sure of the whole regmaraul, i've seen people here talking about group meetings and things. I haven't done that. I just went to Kings, they took my height and weight for BMI and then I saw Dr Choudry who said that he would do the bypass.

I have started a new diet of my own making to try to cut down certain foods and get msyelf ready for the op but I have no idea when it will be. But a diet can't really be a bad thing to start? Last thing I want is to still be used to eating larger portions post op.

Anyway. That is that in a nutshell now here is me.

Shy but rather crazy gal. Size UK28 and approx 24 stone. BMI 51+. or something.. im not sure lol. :8855:

hi and welcome to WLS.
look forward to hearing more from you.

Hiya, welcome, I too am waiting for an op just waiting for the date now, like you I am changing my eating habits beforehand. Whereabouts are you?

hi there, you've def come to the right place to learn the ropes. Welcome

:talk017::welcome2: to the forum.... no doubt someone on here will be at the same hospital as you and will be along to advise regarding timescales.

I'm in the same boat - going through the process - its a long waiting game, but we'll get there. Just started calorie counting as its worked for me in the past - I get bored with eating the same foods on SW and WW just annoys me...

Good luck with your journey.
