Any one flown long distance months after band fitting?

Hiya

had my band done over a year ago, my last fill was July 5th, I am flying to Las Vegas on Tuesday (25th) and am a bit concerned as I have heard that the band can, on some ocassions tighten up during long flights.

My question is two fold, has anyone flown a long haul flight months after surgery? How was it for you? How close to a fill was it before you flew?

I was told that as long as you have a fill no less than a month before you fly then you should be fine, and mine will be about 6 or7 weeks. I am sure I am worrying over nothing, but just wanted to check with you fine people to see what your experiences were like.

When I had my band fitted I flew to Florida about 8 weeks later for a weeks holiday and there was no problem. I have also been on several long distance flights since with various levels of fill in the band.
