Blood Pressures

OK, I've had my B12 today, bit late, but no worries.

Whilst there I got my local nurse to check my BP as I've not had it checked since the operation.

Anyway, she says I was 140 over 80 and was 'OK'

Now, being a bit of a dullard when it comes to these things, is 'OK' meaning fine or 'OK' it'll do or 'OK' get over it?

I did have slightly high blood pressure before the op and I was just curious.

120/80 is text book perfect for BP. So your is slightly high on one reading and could be a bit better but I'm sure it's one hell of a lot better than before your op.

It is usually if the bottom one is high that they get worried so I think you will be fine. There are quite a few nurses on here so I am sure someone will advice soon.

Yea they seem to worry more about the bottom one. I had mine done on Monday and it was 161/88 and the nurse was really pleased as it had gone down loads. I am on 5 different meds for it tho lol x

Well, it is, lol but it's also the Vitamin B12 injection you have to have 3 monthly post operation. Iron injection it's referred to as well
