chewing gum?

Have to say I am not a lover of chewing gum, did anyone see Janice chewing it on corrie last night lol....I do have the occasional piece if my mouth feels dry but its only in for a few mins then binned...but each to their own..xx

I don't like to chew it constantly, I only like to use it to freshen my mouth out and then dispose of it. I am going to get some listerene strips to use instead I think because someone said earlier that they OK to use.

Aww thank you- I am getting better each day, and would be feeling a lot better but i have got diariah and feeling naisiouse aswell as belly ache!!
My mum works in a hospital an there is this norva virus going round, so i am not sure if she has picked something up from there- but anyway i have got it whatever the bug is!!
The only thing i am really struggling with is drinking the amount of recommended fluids each day.
Anywayz- how are you doing? Are you still on liquid stage if you are 9 days ahead? How are you finding it all?? :hug99:

I was never put on just a liquid stage, I had my surgery on the Wednesday and by the saturday I was given weetabix for breakfast. I've put myself on pretty much a liquid diet at the moment as I'm so determined that I don't want to make any mistakes or stretch my pouch and I certainly don't want to do things that make me sick as this has happened once and it was oh so painful. I think that over the next few days I'm going to add some puree things cause my weight has stopped moving and maybe I'm not taking in enough... keep in touch its lovely to see other peoples progress

Hiya Alia,
It is interesting how different surgeons/places have different rules to follow, and as you said it is interesting to read about other peoples experiences. I don't know what i would do without the internet- this website is totally brilliant!! :D
Keep it up- you are doing brilliant, you have lost 25lbs which TOTALLY ROCKS, as Nichole (phatgirl) said on the other thread- you weight might have stopped mooving becaue you might be a bit constipated so try to keep your fluids up. ;)

Is our pouch on our left side? Because this is where i get most of the pain. We tried looking for some sugar free ice lollies the other day, but we couldn't find any- they only had ones with 'no added sugar' which is different to sugar free so will probably still have lots of sugar in it.

The stomach is sited to the left, so yes, that's probably where your pain is.

Tesco do sugar free ice lollies. My OH is Type 2 Diabetic and I have to get them for him in the summer.

Ah right thank you red that could explain my pain! :)
Are the lollies in the freezer section or are they ones that would be out that you then freeze? (if that makes sense!?!)
