Cystitis

Has anyone else had problems with an attack of cystitis after having a catheter during their bypass. I have no pain at all from the operation, just the pain of cystitis.

I never had to have one but make sure you drink plenty of water to flush your bladder. Good luck

Yep got my first experience of cystitis ever after the catheter was in for the op. Nearly drove me mad as I had no idea what it was until I was looking up the effects of catheterisation to see if I'd been mortally wounded and found it described my partner docs couldn't stop laughing when I told them and got a script out to me pronto. Antibiotics hit it on the head very quick

Antibiotics are great, but avoid the cystitis sachets as they are full of sugar, as I foud out a few months agoBicarb in a bit of warm water cures it too

I had cystitis after the birth of my youngest son and it is definately not pleasant the sooner you can get some antibiotics the better.

Thank you for your comments. Went to doctor - have a urinary tract infection and he's given me antibiotics.
