Difficult night!

Agh! Was woken 4 times in the night by needing to pee. Really sore head and so hungry! Even dreamt of sweet and sour pork lol!

Does anyone have any tactics to help stay focused?! X

Stay out of the kitchen. If your allowed it make som sugar free jelly to snack on. Lots of tea and coffee to keep you feeling satiated. Keep your stuff on one shelf so you've no excuse to root through other shelves. Pick a new book or books to read. Do overtime at work.

Hang in there and know that this hard work will get you to being able to have your surgery and the start to a new life. The pre-op isn't easy, but post op isn't either . . .

Find an activity to do. When I was at this stage I treated myself to some new nail varnish and would spend ages putting on base coats, top coats etc because if they were wet by the time they had dried that initial thought/craving/desire for food had often passed.

but yes, lots of drink as it can really help get things going :)

It is hard..no one should be under the illusion its easy..because it isn't, but we are now given this opportunity to take stock of our lives..grab it with both hands and fight for your new life ahead of you
:)

Stay out of the kitchen.....straight to the point!..lol
Keep busy busy busy...that's all you can do.

Thanks! I'm determined to stay on track - it's not the hunger that's the worse part, it's the headache and the peeing lol

If you were a caffeine drinker and stopped suddenly you're probably having withdrawals. I'm not sure what you call it in the UK but get some Excedrin - it's aspirin with acetaminophen and caffeine. Helps with withdrawal headaches.

I'm day 4 today and my head is much better and the nausea has worn off to. Not had a problem with hunger at all which is really freaking me out. Not that I'm complaining!

Hang in there, the pre-op can be a challenging time, but knowing you did it without cheating is a HUGE pat on the back and puts you in good stead for the early post-op weeks when it can be tough.

Stay focused, plenty of water, use a distraction when you need.

Keep your eye on the prize......and what a prize it is, LIFE :)

I had to do the pre-op diet for 14 days and the first 10 were the hardest ... I was constantly hungry!

I made sure I always had some sugar-free jellies in the fridge to keep me going and developed an addiction to playing Sugar Crush on my iPad. Keep busy with games, a good book, long walks, knitting, or whatever floats your boat.

I'm glad you've said that. A lot of people seem to find it quite easy or take a kind of "holier than thou" approach. Im doing this because I like eating lots of food. Lots and lots. I work from home so it's really hard as I don't expect my hubby to starve himself so there are things here I want to eat! That being said I have no intention of doing that, I'm just struggling as work is stressful and food has been my go to for comfort since I was about 10 years old!
Anyone that says that wls is an easy option is an idiot!! Lol
