Hi guys

Has anyone been referred for surgery by DrBano?

Dr Bano is my endocrinologist at St Georges. When I first attended to see her in respect of my thyroids, she said that surgery would help me and was all for it. She cant refer you but she can support your application. She supported my application and my Doctor used her letter of support when referring for surgery. She is also a member of the MDT Team at St Georges Hospital which is helpful

Hi Nina, Dr Bano actually made my referral. I too saw her in regards to my thyroid and she put all the paperwork through to see consultant and dietician. Consultant then said I will be going up to be discussed at the next multidisciplinary but dr Bano had already booked me in to see her in November and she said she would give me all updates then. I'm just confused now, cow letter from consultant said I would be discussed at next panel. That was nearly 3 weeks ago and I'm still not on any list

Thats great news. If they said you will be discussed at MDT you will be, it was a couple of weeks after I saw the Dietician that they discussed me. Thats great that she referred you I didnt know she could do that but thats really good news. I wish you luck and fingers crossed that it wont be long for you.
