can anyone tell me how long before i am able to drive my car after a bypass?

The general advice is 3 weeks due to being careful in case you have a bump and do damage.

Check with your insurance though as some companies will have regulations in place after people have had general anaesthetic
 
There was a thread on this the other day.

Roughly 3 weeks but different surgeons say different things and as Mixxie said you need to check with your own insurance.

The general rule is that you have to be confident you can execute an emergency stop with no problems.
 
I Drove my car as soon as I wasn't to doped up on my meds. I was in the hospital 2 days and I did not drive for another 2 days after that so I would say 4 days
 
i aited 2 (very boring) weeks before i tried to drive.
As said, most say as long as you can do an emergency stop it's all good, just be careful of your seatbelt placement, that it isn't too uncomfortable
