Finally got my op date!

After 3 years of waiting I have finally got a date for my op. It will be on 5th Sep, by which time I will have been on my pre-op diet for 16 weeks. I am so happy I could cry, I was beginning to think I would never get a date!

can i just ask why you would be on a pre op diet for 16 weeks!!!! this seems sooooo long!

I don't think they expected my date to take so long, as my pre-op has also run out. I was allowed more carbs because I was doing it for the extra time. They also wanted me to lose the 2.5 stone before the op, I guess to be as healthy as poss. So I'm extra happy because I have more than doubled that, but still have lots lots more to lose of course.
