I'm sure I'm not the only one & I am very aware some have a harder & longer journey than me , but ..... I'm so bored of waiting & being in limbo .
People keep saying it will be here soon but I swear January is going slower than a snail lol !

Keep yourself busy,plan your future clothes,hols,exersize etc!
Make a scrapbook of clothes,shoes,boots,bags and jewellery you fancy from the Next Directory for summer.
Pack a holdall for hospital,buy your toiletries,new pjs and towel.The weeks will fly,just consider the poor people that have been refused surgery and have to reconsider how they are going forward.We are very lucky,keep focused on the hard stuff to come then the fantastic summer ahead!Maz x

This is a totally FAB idea.. I feel tempted to make a "Slim Shaz" dolly and dress her up in cut out + stick on size 16 "skinny" gear (which won't be Next items, but we all have our personal preferences, don't we!) !!! :8855::8855::8855:

For me (currently size 28) size 16 really is "slim" and I would be really pleased if I manage to reach size 16 again.

I can't get much lower at the moment and i have had hardly any wait and i do feel for those poor peeps who wait ages feel like passing on the whole thing and giving up

hun...think of it this way....were only a week and a half from feb....at some point in feb youll be starting your pre op diet if the op is in march...

its gonna be here before you know it!! x

It's horrible waiting. It gets worse Lovely when they actually give you a date. That month goes the slowest you can imagine. I waited 3 years from referal and it was just pants. But you what, it's the best thing in the world and worth every minute of the wait. A scrap book is a great idea and why not plan a small holiday with the kids (or without them lol) even a camping trip or weekend trip away is something to look forward to. Start a saving the odd £1 coin in one of those tin cans you have to open with an opener for something special once you've lost loads of weight.

After a year of monitoring, I have my first appointment with consultant on Monday 23rd .. I excited .. Have lost 24kgs but am fearful of him saying no.. Maybe after my appointment I will before confident!!
Please. Please mr Kumar don't let me down on Monday....
But if that goes well, I recon it will still be a good few months!! Amazing how we live from appointment to appointment and our favourite person is the postman!!!

As if to rub salt in , spoke to Dawn earlier , who's is 3 months ahead of me . She was told at her appointment this morning she's looking at end of Feb , that would make me end of May :'( :'(
It's not only that I want the op soon so I can improve my health ..... my back & feet suffer daily at work , but also the sooner done the sooner I can ( hopefully) get working full time again . The money issue is so stressful

I know how you feel hunni. I waited 2 years and had given up hope really.
But we all get there in the end. And the waiting confirms the fact that we really wan this. Chin up, t**s out, your on your way to a healthier new you.
