Wow Shel... from yr pic I agree you have great curves, look teeny & it doesn't look bad at all!!

But someone else never views our body the same way as we do & I hope you can get your surgery to see what we see. xxx

Liz...thanks for the tummy tuck pics, how come they did one down the middle?

Hiya Steph, i didnt have a standard hip 2 hip tuck, i had whats called a fluer de lys tuck they cut a triangle shape out of the loose skin and pull it all in tight creating a upside down T shaped scar and they said it gives a better hour glass shape/figure, im having to be so careful at the moment with regaining some weight as i dont wanna un do there good work x

Just over 5 months post op and my scars are barely visible some days, other days they seema little darker than others I don't know why. But here is my (not very good) pic.

The scars seem to vary a lot, is that down to your choice of op, the surgeon's chosen method or the best procedure for your size at the time of op? - Paul

Hi all, these pictures are very reassuring and don't look too bad at all... one of the things I am worried about with surgery is the wounds and healing afterwards.

I'm diabetic so healing of wounds can be slow and often compromised - I'd be interested to know if anyone with diabetes has had problems with healing or with infections to the wounds?

I think its a mix of your skin type, how well you heal personally, the method used to close you up (I know one other of my surgeons patients would have preferred stitches as I would) and just basic dumb luck too.

Im diabetic and heal reallllly slowly if I hurt myself. I think it took eight weeks for my wounds to finally all close up. I was back and to to the walk-in clinic in town to get them redressed because they were a bit wet and they really were resistant to closing up. But they did eventually so all is good.

Thanks Steph.... it's something i'm paranoid about - that and my feet!

My feet were horrendous pre-op, some days I simply couldnt stand on them because I would be in intense pain. I would also have huge sore cracks on my heels. It was a miserable time. I dont have the problem any more, they dont hurt any more, ever!

Thankyou for all the compliments, it's amazing how differently we see ourselves, you see a small waist, I see massive hips!

Not at all Shell... you look truly beautiful and it's taken a lot of hard work, dedication and stamina to achieve such results... thank you so much for your support and sharing xxx

I wish I had your hips! I swore I wouldnt say that because I hate it when people say stuff like that but I really do wish I did, my skin lies strange so I look like I have really fat hips.
