I've only lost 7 1/2 stone BUT I'm having surgery to my knees (the reason for having the op in the first place) in 12 days time!!!

Thanks Nic, I had my pre op health check yesterday and passed with flying colours, just have to wait for the result of the MRSA check now. Having them done Wednesday. Its pretty wierd being excited and scared at the same time.

Happy Surgiversary to Me

On Friday 16 April it will be exactly 12 months since my bypass at The Whittington. I can proudly say Ive gone from a size 32 to a size 16 and am 10stone 5lbs lighter than this time last year - its hard to comprehend actually and clothes I try on look so so tiny but they fit!

Despite the fact that Im permanently exhausted, my hair is falling out and my memory is going and my knees are finished (none of this surgery related), Im thrilled with my weightloss, dont regret my surgery for a second and revel in my changed eating habits. Food is now something I have to have to fuel up not a comfort or an emotional fix, infact when I get stressed or down now, I lose my appetite - your head will change if you tell it to cause Im proof that it has. Ive curbed over 40 years of bad habits in 12 months cause I was determined to. If you believe - you can!
