Hayfever - post bypassers

Hi all, usually i suffer from hayfever extremely badly, so much so i have been known to have the injection to reduce histamines in me. This year i am post bypass and am finding i have hardly had any at all despite the really hot weather and high pollen counts. I have only really needed to take a tablet for afew days so far this year. Anyone else found this post bypass or is it just me?

I've never suffered from hayfever even though I have asthma. Since my op my asthma has been alot better. I've gone from having 4 or 5 nebulizers a day to only having 5 in total since my op.Glad you're not suffering as much Di and this will make the summer months so much better for you.

hi i used to have bad hayfever but not suffered at all this year x x x

my son has really bad hayfever and requires tablets, nasal spray eye drops and injections. To date this year he hasnt been as bad as usual his eyes haven swollen once so maybe pollen in general is lovwer

Thanks, HC then i will have to chart this one over a couple of years to see if its a by product of the bypass or if its just a case of lower pollen counts

Hi there Di :)

As you know I havent had my op yet but wanted to just say that I am a chronic hayfever sufferer and am not very good with normal treatments for it. I use a homeopathic remedy by new era for hayfever and allergic rhinitis which I also get.

This year so far, I have not had to take any, I cannot work out why for the first time in my life, I have not had hayfever yet! It really is bizare. I usually have to wear sunglasses in the house if I have the windows open, the works, this year nope nothing nada nowt!

I know there are different types of pollun affect different people but something very strange seems to be occuring as my mum who is also a sufferer hasnt had any symptoms yet this year either. I'm usually bad through spring and early summer, then again in the early autumn.

Xx

Swizzle i too am a cronic suffer and i was wondering if it was a byproduct obviously it is not if a number of people are also not getting their usual symptoms, perhaps its the wrong sort of pollen around but i usually get it from grass as well as flowers and trees

like you my son normally suffers all year either from hayfever or once the central heating goes on fron rhinitus. something really strange going on because as a bike rider he usually has to smear vasaline around his nose and eyes but hasnt even had to do that this year. still taking his antihistimins eye drops and nose spray but not needed his injections, very strange
