I think lots of people find they have the runs soon after the op, I did and milk was the culprit for me. I was drinking lots of milk with added marvel for the protein and it was too much for me. I would contact your team if it carries on though but you could try leaving milk for a day or two and see how you get on. Good Luck and congrats on having the surgery ;) Xx

thanks peeps :), so glad there is somwhere i can talk openly about how im feeling its all new to me i feel overwhelmed, when i was given the go ahead for surgery i thought i had clued up on everything there was to know, but at the moment i feel as if i know so little about what is going on with my own body. :((

Hi Barbara

Congrats on your op, I am 2 weeks post op and I had the opposite problem to you, I didnt go for 10 days, but i was only allowed liquids for the first 2 weeks,

I hope you feel better soon xx

Same here, only liquids for two weeks. But can have it as custard, skimmed milk, oxo, jelly, ice cream, and things like that. Im happy to do this for two weeks till my tummy is mended.
Hope somebody can help you soon with the toilet problem. It will get better, im sure.

Sorry you're suffering, I'm afraid I can't give you any advice as I'm pre op waiting for a sleeve at Sunderland. Congratulations on your surgery though and I hope you feel better soon x

thanks guys im waiting on the dietician getting back to me, but im deffinatly going to mention about moving onto the liquid diet until my tummy can tollerate mushy food, i did the liquid diet pre op and managed it brilliantly so hopefully get the outcome i want just to feel comfortable. :D xx

I'm a sleeve post-op but I still even now have IBS moments. I'm sure it'll pass :)
Your body may also be adjusting to the lack of serotonin your stomach makes, I suffered a bit with that but it passes too x

Hey Barbara
Hope all settles down for you really soon
Best of luck X
