Help!! advise, bypass due on Tuesday, i think i have ear ache starting!!

Have made an appointment to see docs tonight as i think i have earache, definately feels hot that side and low grade ache in ear. any one had anti-biotics this close before surgery? someone put my mind at rest please?:sigh:

I wouldn't think having the antibiotics would be an issue - the greater concern would be that the infection has cleared up.

Even without antibiotics most ear infections clear up within 2-3 days and the majority of 'ear infections' are purely a build up of mucus. (I'm not an expert, just had a shufty round some medical websites).

It looks like you should be fine

thanks for the reply. docs had a look, not my ear and not my throat, I think it is referred pain from niggly wisdom tooth. seems more settled today, so just going to see how it goes.
