Hi Ed

Of course you feel wobbly about it, you've started the biggest journey and change to yor life ever! Change is always un-nerving as no one ever knows what to expect! But turn it around on itself, how exciting is this all going to be! How much better will you feel, healthy, slimmer, more energetic etc....

I am being banded on 28th october and I can't wait. I'll feel nervous when I am in your shoes and am on the pre-op diet. Its only natural.

What made you want the band in the first place? How did you come to this decision?

dont worry ed you will be fine its a big step i found the pre op diet quiet harsh as well which doesnt help but it will be so worth it i had my band 5 days ago and although really sore for a few days am already feeling alot better just think about why you decided to have it if those reasons are still the same you know its the right thing to do

HI, it is only natural to feel wobbly, it is a big step you are taking!! Particuarly when the first couple of days on the pre op diet are pretty difficult anyway. Stick with it - the wobbles will come and go until you have the op and the pre-op diet gets easier, drink lots of water to help fill you. I had my band 9 weeks ago and don't regret it for a minute. There are lots of people on here who have been banded and we will all be happy to offer you as much support and advice as we can. Good luck :)

Hi like others have said it's perfectly normal to feel wobbly. you have made one of the biggest decisions of your life and that is scary. Just remeber why you are having the op and how your life will change for the better. Keep positive hun x

Hi Ed

I am a week into the pre-op diet and having the bypass op on weds and like others have said it does get easier i took ppls advise and drunk plenty of water and i found it filled you up (all be it for a short while),i could have thrown the towel in many a time but you have made one of the hardest decisions in your life to have the band fitted,
Hold on in there, the support on here is over whelming dont ever feel alone.

Hi ed, like the others said the first few days are the worse but it soon passes, just remember drink plenty of water and before you know it you will be having your op! which pre op diet are you doing?

Ed - Dont worry you'll be fine, i felt the same a few days before my op, yes its a big lifestyle change and things wont be the same post op, but its a positive thing your doing that will let you regain your life and take control of your body.
No one likes the pre op diet, but its a means to an end, get through it however you can, and once you've had the op you wont feel the hunger anymore :D

Take care and good luck

Richard
