How exciting - taking the plunge

I have finally worked out how I am going to pay for this procedure (bypass) and look to have it done end of April. I am very excited and feel a sense of peace, just worried about telling work. They are not the most caring of companies and I have just been off for one week following a laparoscopy, so it is not going to go down well

Congratulations Princess i was private too and i know exactly what you are feeling when you say a sense of peace. Its a fantastic feeling knowing its going to happen soon for you. As for work don't worry i was told as long as i submit a sick line they can't do anything, you can also discuss with your surgeon and GP as to what you want put on the line as your reason. It didn't bother me so mine said gastric bypass but it can be as simple as post op surgery. As long as you follow your company's sickness policy all will be fine xx
