i have about 14st to lose but would be happy with a 10st loss. if i was to exercise 3 times a week how long is it likely to take me to lose 10 st with the sleeve? how long did it take you to have that kind of loss? cheers

Only took me 6 months to lose 10 stone but I was a lot heavier than you was. It took me another 7 months to lose another 6st 11lb but then it's taken me nearly 4 months to lose 1lb

It's a good question love and if I look at sleeve losses I think of Mixxy, the exercise certainly seems to help so much too...

Good luck on your wls journey, sending love and hugs xxx

I,m a bypasser and weighed 50lbs more than you and it took me exactly 7 months and 14 days xx
I exercise daily but obviously didn't do that at first. You'll find that you have copious amounts of energy and that you just need to move walking is as good form of exercise as any other. Although my surgeon encouraged me to swim to help with the skin xxxx

thanks for your replies i know everyone is different but its nice to get an idea.. i plan on doing running as i was a keen runner 3 years ago so i do intend on pushing myself when its safe to do so. im just very excited and think oh my goodness if i have the sleeve in jan as expected then going off "the norm" i could be more or less slim for christmas 2011, which is crazy to think of seen as i am so overweight now.. here's hoping

absosobloominlootly you could......Its my goal to be 200lbs for christmas which i know isnt exactly skinny but its alot better than my weight last christmas. xx

you know the goal i have set for myself is not skinny but its got to be healthier than being obese.. i also want to keep a higher goal weight than "correct" weight for height to help with lose skin... need to keep it plumped out a little.good luck with your 200lb goal i'm sure you will make it x

I was 22stone 3lb and it took me 1 year to lose 10 stone without any excercise whatsoever except walking the dog!!

You really shouldn't judge by what others are losing etc. I myself am a slow loser there are others who had surgery after me who have lost more than me.....

Just look at it this way, whatever you weigh in Christmas 2010 you will be a lot lighter in Christmas 2011 :)

Don't push and pressure yourself too much, just enjoy the ride xxx

I had the sleeve at the end of February this year and weighed 18 stone on the day of the op. I know weigh 11 stone 1lb. I'm doing quite a bit of exercise - even having swimming lessons. Having said that, it's not a walk in the park (no pun intended), it still has to be worked at. I eat healthily and exercise heartily. Great weight loss is definitely attainable. x
