How long?

How long on average is it between seeing the consultant and having the op. I'm looking for Bypass or sleeve and it's the NHS.

i've been referred by my neurologist for WLS as he believes losing weight will essentially cure me of my symptoms and if not then the neurosurgeons will revise my shunt again. At the mo the neurosurgeons refuse to revise my shunt. This has left me with exteme high pressure headaches and needing to have lumbar punctures every fortnight.

So this is the reason I want a quick fix to be headache free and to never have another lumbar puncture

Aw, honey, that is awful for you. I can't answer as I am not in Scotland but could your neurosurgeon help push you up the list due to your problems? :wave_cry: Hope you don't have to wait too long xxxx
