I dont know hun but im sure someone who does will be along soon, have a great time xx

I live right near Wicksteeds!!
Have a good day xx

I really wouldn't risk it! You're only 4wks post-op and I've been advised by my team not to even start using my treadmill until I'm 6wks post-op and then only at a gentle walking pace.

Didn't you hurt yourself swimming the other day too? I really think you're trying to do too much too soon, you need to slow down! Don't forget you've just had major abdominal surgery and it takes time for everything to heal.

Hi

You should really ring your surgical team and check. There is no way that you have healed sufficiently yet to even lift heavy objects let alone get tossed and turned around at a theme park.

At my 4 week check when I mentioned carrying a washing basket I was told off!

If you think about all the strain you could put on yourself or possibly even tear something, I personally wouldn't risk it yet.

I agree with what the others have said its way to early for anything rough like that, its not worth the risk of damaging your insides and ending back up in hospital, look on the bright side though there will be many more times when you can join in no problem at all xxx

Hello

As you only had your op a short while ago I would not recommend any rides that may cause you to jolt etc as your still healing, but I wish you a good day anyway :D

All the best - MeJulie x x

Hiya, i agree with all the above. Its not worth the risk. Go on camera duty and take some fab shots and next time it will be someone elses turn when you go there again. Just think if you went on something and you ended up in agony and you had to leave the theme park to spend the day at hospital. You will have all the time in the world soon to join in, take care xxx

Yep sound advice....mind you, have you ever been to Wicksteeds before? Its aimed at young children, nothing like Alton Towers!
The only 'big' rides are a pirate ship and a kind of smallish roller coaster x

yea i no thats my point there are lots of things for really small kids and need adults to go on with them it not like rollercoaster or pirate ship that im talking about i mean like the merry go round and umbrellas and things like that xxx

I've been on the roller coaster there and whilst it might not be as big as the ones at Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers, it's still pretty fast with lots of twists & turns. No way would I attempt to go on it until a good few months post-op.

The other rides are the type you'd find in a local fairground but again, in my opinion, are still not suitable for somebody just 4wks post-op. I think it would be foolish to take the risk but it's down to individual choice.

I really would go along with everyone else's advice...at best you could spectacularly projectile vomit over a load of people (wouldn't go down as one of your better days), at worst you could do yourself some internal injury....soooo not worth it. Have you got an OH or a mate you could drag along with you, detailing them off to accompany the little ankle biters? I hope you have a fab day anyway xxx

major problem with these ''nutty'' rides is not so much being thrown about, but the fact that you'll be tensing your core muscles very tightly, not a good idea at such a short time after surgery, i was told no ab work for at least 3 months, so wouldn't risk it at all ;)

I suffered the great indignatey of being asked to get off the helicopter ride at Legoland as they couldn't pull the bar down over us. It was mortifying,

Tyraboots thats horrible that would be my worse nightmare. Well you don't have to worry about that happening again :) Well done with your weight loss your doing fab xxx
