hi everyone, i have a EHIC card and insurance with Natwest Gold account. i have been looking on Natwest today and it does not look like i am covered for WLS abroad.
Does anyone know any companies that specialise in this? x:)

I was wondering this question today. The EHIC won't cover elective surgery, and I've not found any results under google that look promising.

Has anyone found a company that does it?

have been looking into just this thing today. I am planning on going to the czech rep, and the surgeon has stated that he will cover any probs for 7 days whilst their but anyother problems will not be covered. I rang wls today to see what they could offer me and how much it would cost. They will not cover anything medical i.e. sorting out complications, but they did say that the nhs has got to do this. They will provide an aftercare service for diet probs check ups with a bariatric nurse any diet probs etc etc and its about 500 pounds for a two year period. if you require any medical help they said companies tend to want you to use an approved surgeon pref one of their own, If you do manage to find out anything else keep me posted.

I suspect we are considering going to the same place, have you booked yet?

When you get to 50 posts I came message you privately and we can chat off-forum, so go play some of the word association games lol :)

Have a few more questions to ask him yet. But should be booking in a month or so. Am going to have it done early next year hopefully mid jan, if he is available. Was hoping to have it done the end of the year, but Christmas is there and dont fancy doing the milk diet then. When are you having yours done? Keep me posted, and I will you.
