quick question as i am getting myself sorted for starting the pre op next week - on the low fat/ low carb diet it just says small portion of lean meat/ fish with veg and salad. what constitutes a small portion of meat ? a chicken breast half a chicken breast im just not sure and is there anything i should be avoiding and does beetroot, fresh chillis and peas count as veg?

And can i turn my veg into a soup ?

i emailed my team days ago but no reply

Hi Christine,

Im on low fat/low carb pre op diet and on my sheet one portion of meat & fish is:

2-3oz lean beef, pork, lamb, mince, chicken, turkey or oily fish

5oz white fish or tuna in brine

2-3 slices lean bacon

3 thin slices of lean cold meat

2 grilled sausages

I have counted pea's as one of my veg portions not sure about beetroot or chillis tho.

If your food is cooked in a healthy way then i think you can have it however you like so i think turning your veg into a soup would be fine. But deffo check with your team.

Good Luck hun xxx
