You're doing great, I had to wait almost a year for any noticible restriction and in the end I just started calorie counting to gain some control. As it turned out, following a healthy eating plan/calorie control plan is easy compared to before the band as you do get fuller faster than before the op...even if you don't yet have your sweet spot. I wish I had tried that before but I did it the hard way round! Please don't fret, just keep in contact with the provider and if you have little restriction and you're worried how you are coping..tell them so..I made the mistake of trying to muddle through on no restriction for too long and got very discouraged. Well it just goes to prove what you've all been telling me , when i put in the effort i get results , the fill has helped , and i have stuck to the advice of liquids and 7lb gone this wk, well chuffed!.

Another lb gone , i don't feel as restricted as i did , unless i'm getting use to the feeling , but i seem to be able to eat more everyday , i'm trying to stick to small amounts regardless of how full (or not ) i feel.

Might be time to book in for another fill, how long is it since your first one and how much have you got in?

i'v had 1 fill of 8.5ml in a 14ml band but i cant have another fill till the end of May because it has to be 2months apart so they say. I'll ring them in a wk or so to try a book the next fill.

for the past 3wks i have stayed the same , i'm a bit down hearted at the moment , although i was told that sometimes the restriction from the first fill doesn't last. I keep reading that with bands the main loss is in the first few months , so this leaves me a little concerned, as since 4th January i have lost 28lb thats ony 7lb a month , i expected much more in the early days,and considering that i have spent a number of wks on fluids alone after the op and fill! I now eat less than half than i did pre op and walk everyday , swim once a wk , it just doesn't seem to add up? is this normal or do i expect too much?
