Sorry ladies, had to ask,

The clue is in the title, now I've come out of the clouds about booking my date for surgery, its dawned on me that my "monthly visitor" will be here around the time of surgery.

Does this affect anything?

If I remember rightly, I think Nic had that happen to her. Check out her thread. She still went ahead.

Personally I'd have to make sure mine was not going to occur at the same time as I have a nightmare of a time during my period, so if I got the date when it was about due, I'd ask them to change it. I guess it's down to the individual.

i do know only a gown is allowed 4 on the way to surgery, they allow paper knickers if its the time of month which they provide, a few ladies have went down to theatre with bra and nix on under there gown and when they have come round they have been removed as its classed as a hygiene risk in theatre, nurses need to explain this to the patients b4 an op. paper nix is only allowed if its the time ov month other wise naked is the procedure.

i had my own nix on and they didnt remove gown just folded it up to my boobs. How i know is that it was covered in iodien in stripes down the front and when i said oh i have a designer gown the surgeon said i do it as a side line lol

Wohoo, my visitor came early...something worked in my favour for a change!!!!

lmao. you must be the first person ever to be pleased to have their monthly visitor.

Can understand why you are pleased though hun. Will be one less thing for you to be concerned about whilst in hospital

LOL i bet that was a relief, at least this means you know you can safely walk down to theatre.

As for niks i was given a paper pair lol that wouldnt even go around one thigh so walked down without any.

I'm that chuffed my visitor will have gone...I'll run down to theatre naked!!!! Let em look whilst its there LOL x x x

I'm just chuckleing at the term Monthly Visitor! Never heard it called that before!
