Mr E-Hassani post op diet?

Can anyone tell me what the post-op diet is for Mr El-Hassani's patients? It seems that different surgeones/hospitals/companies have different regimes and I wondered what it was for WLS group.

Just mentally preparing myself - don't attend the first appointment until 16th July - gosh that's only in 6 days Are those butterflies I feel in my tummy, lol.

Post op diet is soup soup soup and smoothies for the first 4-6 weeks then i moved onto 'softs' so missed the puree stage altogether then onto solids :S

Yes I was also on the same routine with as much fluids as possible until about week 5 when I began to test the way with thicker soups and mushy food. but avoided chicken and pork due to the fibrous meat causing vomitting . testing and trying as you go you will soon see what is good for you the team are good , and they listen to your questions

I was moved onto puree at three weeks post op, which I will be on for at least two weeks. I guess we are all different.

oo just a warning !! lol i tried scrambled egg on soft stage and it made me really ill !! ended up being sick, i think it got stuck, some people are ok with it but lots have problems so be wary of it !!
If you look at my diary i think i put what i ate or theres another thread 'Deebys post op diet'

Also with the soup i would get the nice covent garden ones or the skinny ones and if they had lumps i would either strain the lumps out or liquidize it .

I lived on weight watchers soup and ice lollies for the first 4 weeks!!!! good luck! xxx

Thanks again. Been to chat with a friend today who had a bypass last year and was able to ask lots of questions. Also visited GP today and saw the doctor I normally see. He was so supportive and reassuring - he thought it was admirable that I was going to take such a step and said he'd support me any way he could afterwards (unfortunately not fund it though lol). I feel very confident of my decision now
