Mr Roger Ackroyd/BMI Thornbury

Hi

I am off to The BMI Thornbury in Sheffield to have a bypass through the WLS group on the 8th July. Starting to feel nervous now. Has anyone else had Mr Roger Ackroyd as their surgeon or been to the Thonrnbury?

I have I had a gastric band though. I had it last monday (22nd).
I found everything to be great with the hospital and the care i received. I found Mr Ackroyd and his team to be very nice and thorough.
I also know 'thinkbethin' on this forum has had an op at the Thornbury.

Hi Izzy, I did'nt have mine done at the Thornbury because of other illness's but it was Mr Ackroyd that did my op (band) at The Royal Hallmshire in Sheffield. He is a great surgeon and his team have been very good too. You'll be in safe hands with him. Good luck for your op.

No problem Bex. He really is a good surgeon and his team are pretty cool too.
