Newbie needs help with Avatar Pls

Hi, I have been going through the tutorials trying to learn how to get around and do stuff, I am having probs with my avatar, I think when I first was on here (didnt know what I was doing) I might have click for no avatar but I would like to use one now and I cant reset it to allow this, although I have now followed the tutorial I cant do as it says, have I messed up? or can it be reset? I have clicked the reset button but nothing happens, sorry to be a pain but would love some help.

Ive done 22 posts and still cant have an avatar

Sometimes the system takes a wee while to update. You should be able to soon. Maybe try logging off and back on again, Im sure I remember Pierce telling someone that once
