Hi everyone, I'm having gastric bypass private 8th October, when I went to my pre op the nurse mentioned getting bloods done at my own gp.. So off I went, he didn't seem to give me answer said he will check with one of the other gp?? Surly I can have my bloods checked/ vitamins? Any advice I would really appreciate x

Can't find it but I'm sure that someone had had trouble with their Dr refusing as they'd gone privately but that after investigations it turned out that the Dr had a duty of care to the patient and it was his responsibility to do the blood tests. Hope that helps.
